Head's Blog: New Projects

Dear Parents,
What a week! Lots of busy children – Year 5/6 play rehearsals, Pre-Prep Sports Day, HXP Oscar Night. The Year 8 pupils have also been taking their Common Entrance exams; I wish them all the best for their results next week.
You will be pleased to hear that I had a very productive Governors’ Meeting on Tuesday, and they have agreed to a number of summer projects. This is all part of the strategic plan of the school and the continued improvement to our facilities – exciting times!
The main projects:
- New Dining Room (which should be starting in the next couple of weeks);
- New Pre-Prep Outdoor Area;
- Refurbishment of our second Science laboratory;
- New long jump pit!
I can’t wait for the Leadership weekend next week – Year 5 to South Downs near Arundel, Year 6 to Brecon Beacons and Year 7 to Snowdonia. I am planning to walk up Pen y Fan and Snowdon with the teams; let’s hope for good weather!
