Head's Blog: Success
In this summer’s exam results I have been delighted to see our Year 8 pupils rewarded for their efforts with excellent grades. Our pupils have worked incredibly hard and shown resilience, maturity and excellent exam technique. I am exceedingly proud of every single individual.
They were supported by our team of committed and talented staff. We are extremely proud of our school community, which continues to go from strength to strength. It is their passion and enthusiasm that combine with our pupils' talents to get the very best from them.
This year we achieved 22 scholarships and awards, as well as more A*s in Common Entrance than ever before; and every child has gained a place at their chosen senior school.
It was lovely to share their results with them, and their parents, upon their return from Blacklands last week. Seeing their elation and sharing in their joy are truly what this job is about.
This truly talented group includes: Ismey, who managed to be in the top ten entrants to Wellington this year; Coco, Elwen, Eric and Leo, who arrived 3 years ago with hardly any English and are now leaving with a raft of fabulous results to Rugby, Charterhouse, Clifton and Shrewsbury; and Freddie, who achieved a Major Academic Scholarship to Brighton. I could go on and list each individual's successes, but they should know that I am proud of all of them.
